Overview

The AI 5 PRO is a core and cladding alignment fusion splicer built around a six-motor focusing system and a 5 inch TFT colour display. Splicing takes 8S with an 18S heating cycle, and the screen shows the fibre core at 320x magnification on a single axis, or 160x when both axes are displayed.

Three-in-one fibre holders take SM, MM, bare fibre, pigtail, drop cable and multi fibre cable without a clamp change, and built-in lighting keeps the v-groove visible for night operation. The 5200mAh lithium battery charges in ≤3.0 hours and covers about 160 splice and heat cycles, while splicing records can be synchronised to a phone.
