Overview
The GJ.0107 is a precision cleaver used for precision cutting of single core fiber, suitable for FTTH optical fiber to the home. The stripped fiber is placed on a v-groove and held by a fiber holder fixed on the body while the cover is closed firmly to cleave it.
The blade edge is marked with cleaving positions 1 to 12, so a worn edge can be rotated to a fresh position, and blade height can be raised in 0.05 mm steps twice before the blade is replaced. Cleaning is done with alcohol-soaked cotton, and the stripped fiber should be at least 12 mm long.
