Overview

The OSP3800 2U is the 2RU member of the OSP3800 DWDM/OTN transmission platform family, built around advanced transmission and high integration technology. It provides eight service slots in a 442 (W) x 350 (D) x 88 (H) mm chassis and supports a single-channel transmission rate from 100Mbps to 400Gbps, with fully transparent transmission ready for 800Gbps capacity expansion.

One fibre carries 96 x 400G, up to 38.4Tb/s, and the platform also runs 80/96 x 10G/100G/200G/400G hybrid transmission, so a network can be upgraded smoothly from 40 waves to 80 waves and from 48 waves to 96 waves. The 400G system uses 16QAM coding with coherent detection and oFEC, and its DSP-based dispersion tolerance of 26000 ps/nm supports 400 km or more of non-electric relay transmission.

Service access is deliberately broad: CPRI 1-10, eCPRI, FE/GE/10GE/25GE/40GE/100GE, FC 1G-32G, STM-N and OTU1/2/3/4 all pass transparently. Optical channel, optical multiplex and optical line 1+1 protection schemes protect both the traffic paths and the equipment, and the node is managed through a single unified platform.
