Overview
The QSFP28-100G-ZR4-80KM is a 100G QSFP28 optical transceiver designed for 100GBASE-ZR4 single-mode links of up to 80 km. It uses a 4-lane LAN-WDM MUX/DEMUX design with an aggregate bit rate of 103.125 Gb/s and is compliant with the QSFP28 MSA.
The optical engine pairs a 4-lane EML transmitter with a 4-lane SOA and PIN receiver and multiplexes the lanes onto one single-mode fibre through an industry standard LC duplex connector. It runs from a single 3.3 V supply with a maximum power consumption of 6.5 W, a hot pluggable 38-pin electrical interface and I2C digital diagnostic monitoring as defined in SFF-8636.
