Description

Overview

The SG6040 wireless GPON ONU provides both wired and wireless network access, which makes it suitable for home users and small offices that want a gigabit drop, a second Fast Ethernet port and Wi-Fi from a single desktop unit. The mixed wired plus wireless arrangement covers devices that are best served by cable as well as those that connect over the air.

The wired side presents one 1 × GE and one 1 × FE auto-negotiation RJ45 port, and the radio is IEEE 802.11 b/g/n on 2.4 GHz (2.400–2.483 GHz), up to 300 Mbps with MIMO, 2T2R with dual 5 dBi antennas, 13-channel support, wireless AP mode, multiple concealed SSIDs, WMM, encryption up to WPA3 and modulation DSSS, CCK, OFDM with BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM and 64QAM encoding. The PON uplink is single-mode SC/PC on a GPON Class B+ link of up to 20 km, with TX power 0 to +4 dBm and RX sensitivity −27 dBm.

It accesses mainstream GPON OLTs and interworks with Fiberhome AN5516, ZTE C220 / C300 / C320 / C600 and Huawei MA5600 / MA5680 / MA5800. Routing covers bridge, router and route-and-bridge mixed mode with NAT, ALG, UPnP, DMZ, firewall, port forwarding, virtual server, one WAN for multiple services and VxLAN, EoIP, L2TP and IPSec VPN, over IPv4/IPv6 dual stack with IPv4/IPv6 static route. Management runs over WEB / TELNET / CLI / TR069, ITU-T G.984.x OMCI and CTC 3.0. The unit measures 114 × 85 × 23 mm, weighs under 250 g without its adapter, runs on 12 V 1 A and draws less than 12 W, with PWR / PON / LOS / FE / GE / 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi indicators, over −5 °C to +45 °C and 10 % to 90 % non-condensing humidity.
