POWER Card – Chassis PSU, AC/HVDC and DC-48V Input
POWER Card chassis PSU for DWDM systems: PSU-AC/HVDC and PSU-LDC options, 1+1 backup, overheat protection, over/under-voltage protection and ±4 % metering.
Description
Overview
The POWER Card is the power supply unit (PSU) card of the DWDM chassis. It is available with an AC/HVDC input or a DC-48V/-60V input and occupies slots 44/45/54/55.
Power modules are used in a 1+1 backup arrangement, so the device continues to function normally even after a single PSU fails.
POWER Card Key Features
- PSU-AC/HVDC: rated AC 220V, 198 to 242V (45Hz to 65Hz), and rated HVDC 240V, 192 to 288V
- PSU-LDC: rated DC -48V/-60V, range -40 to -72V
- 1+1 backup — the device continues to function normally even after a single PSU fails
- Occupies slots 44/45/54/55 of the chassis
- Real-time collection of the ambient temperature of the power card
- Overheat protection with automatic resume once the temperature drops
- Status light — green for normal operation, orange for a fault
- Overvoltage and undervoltage protection with automatic power restoration
- Real-time power query of input and output voltage and current, with power accuracy of ±4 % or better
- Power plug and cord options: IEC and China national standard plugs, 10A standard cord for AC220V/HVDC240V, and a cord of no less than 10 square for DC-48V
POWER Card Specifications
Technical Specifications
| Function | Description |
|---|---|
| Occupied Slots | 44/45/54/55 slot |
| Input Voltage | PSU-AC/HVDC: rated AC 220V, voltage range 198-242V (45Hz to 65Hz) and rated HVDC 240V, voltage range 192 to 288V PSU-LDC: rated DC -48V/-60V, voltage range -40 to -72V |
| 1+1 Backup | The device continues to function normally even after a single PSU fails |
| Temperature Monitoring | Can collect the ambient temperature of the power card in real time |
| Overheat Protection | When the power module temperature exceeds the set threshold it enters protection mode, cuts off power supply and triggers an overheating alarm; once the temperature drops the module automatically resumes normal operation |
| Status Indication | A green light on indicates normal operation, an orange light on indicates a fault |
| Power Plug and Power Cord | AC220V and HVDC240V support optional IEC and China national standard plug power cords; a 10A standard power cord is required, and DC-48V requires a power cord of no less than 10 square |
| Power Status | Supports power supply monitoring in on, normal and abnormal states |
| Overvoltage and Undervoltage Protection | The protected state is characterised by output power shutdown and power supply interruption, with automatic power restoration capability |
| Real Time Power Query | Supports querying real-time data such as current input and output voltage and current, with power accuracy of ±4% or better |
| Mixed Configuration (optional) | Supports hybrid configurations of PSU-AC/HVDC and PSU-LDC |
Deployment Scenarios
- Powering the DWDM chassis from slots 44/45/54/55 with 1+1 backup
- Sites with an AC or HVDC feed that need PSU-AC/HVDC modules
- Sites with a DC-48V/-60V feed that need PSU-LDC modules
- Installations that require overheat and over/under-voltage protection with automatic restore
- Deployments that monitor real-time input and output voltage and current with high power accuracy
